Christopher Derick

My name is Chris Derick and I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. My passion for engineering came in my early high school years at Mount Saint Charles Academy. This is where I was first introduced to higher level mathematics and became fascinated with the subject. Treating maths as a language opened my eyes to a new way of learning about the world around us. This passion was then carried on into University where I have spent the last four years preparing myself to reach my goal of using my knowledge in the engineering field to positively affect the world.

Once I graduate in December, I will be joining the company Consulting Engineering Services (CES) as a Mechanical Engineer to design residential and commercial mechanical systems with the goal of making them more efficient and environmentally friendly. Alongside my profession, I will be spending my free time fishing and playing sports which I currently do both to allow me to stay grounded through my studies.
